Downtown Overview(Section is only Accessible to Members only)Hello everyone my name is Liliana Cortex and I am one of the Secretaries here in Downtown's lovely City Hall. I was told to come up with a brief overview as to what Downtown is and what it holds compared to any "normal" Downtown in a regular city. First you will need a brief history so please bare with me. This Downtown is actually held underground from the city above. Yes that is correct we have an entire city basically right under Kibou City. Kibou as you should understand means Hope. It was rightfully named so because the Nonhuman races resided here first. We all have hope that one day everything will go back the way they should. At the time everyone lived together. I am not saying we didn't have our trials at times but we weren't trying to kill each other like we all are now. This land at the time belonged to the Original Councils of our old times. It was peaceful until the wars started and got out of hand. Yes we believe it got out of hand because at the time some human leaders did not like living with the other races so they instilled fear that the human populace was going to be wiped out. So in turn humans drove all other races from all their lands including the ones they all shared. The ones that they couldn't touch were the ones which were owned by a particular race with their old contracts. Anyone with these contracts even to this day can not be challenged. Some of our cultures fled to other cities who hadn't at the time been affected by war just yet. Sadly war hit every corner of the lands above the water. Some of us chose to live underground due to the fact that we were here first. I can imagine the looks I am getting right now. Lets face it if you were born and raised in a particular city and you loved it. It is very difficult for someone who just decides that you lost and they want your land and you have to move away in a short amount of time. 3 days is not ample time to find a new home suitable to your tastes at all. Now living underground is very different but it was better than moving away from the land where most of us grew up in. We built this city with the help of
Illicitus Our Forbidden City which we are connected to through another exit. Together we created a brand new home here under our original where the humans reside. Now I know some of you are like
Why did you do that? Well due to the Council laws humans can not drive us from these lands so we created a system that everyone must follow. Another
major Reasoning to building this place underground was because of
Alculard Paradise Academy. Yes we have children and other relatives who attend this city's greatest Hope of all. We dare not live cities over when this campus, even under Council Laws, is being attacked while they are trying to succeed. Now not all humans are bad just like not all nonhumans are good so we do have laws and ways how "Accepted" humans are allowed inside our great city.
Okay so understand that you have to be nonhuman to enter anyways. Or you have to be mated to a nonhuman and show proof of it at the gates. Even then you are to take what is similar to a drug test for us to determine if you are human or not. If you are human you have to prove that you are mated to a nonhuman. We have ways on finding out so you can't cheat the system. This gate is guarded by our own military personal. It is a two way street one way in and there are actually 2 ways out. This is one way back out into
Kibou City and
Alculard Paradise Academy. The other leads to
Illicitus Our Forbidden City. Due to not wanting anyone to be harmed we, as stated before, have many procedures before we allow you in. Nonhumans you have to have your ID and we need to scan your prints in as well to ensure that you are not a fake.
Once you are inside you have to drive down into a small tunnel and across a bridge to enter into the city. We have everything here like any other city but due to our size there isn't like mega malls or anything along those lines. Our military and our regular police is our security. We have city meetings every Tuesday at 5pm in the banquet room in our
Grand Motel. We have our own little city displays for the holidays and special events. We ask that you do not litter nor make this city a mess. You will get fined and you may not even be allowed back inside. Humans who are accepted you are told to make an ID at City Hall immediately. Once your ID is made and your information is written down in our books you are free to come into the City. If you however misbehave you are getting everything taken away and you will not have a second chance. So please be one of those rare humans and be good. We still have faith that your whole kind will change as well as our own corrupted people.
This is the open path to get in and out of
Illicitus Our Forbidden City. Since we have such high procedures for humans getting in here we don't have to worry about them getting in through here because this city is protected by a barrier. Rarely will they allow humans in but if they do there is a procedure that you have to follow to get there too. A very beautiful place and it is back on the surface so no worries. Again humans with passes you have to report to city hall there as well. They will scan your information and that's it.
Well I think that just about covers it unless I recall other bits of information that you all should know. Have a good time around our lovely Downtown area. Please we ask that you do keep Hope alive. One day things will get better.
